Artist presale guide
System of a Down Presale 2027: How to Get Tickets, Country by Country
The System of a Down presale for the Live At The Rose Bowl show is happening right now, and this page is written for the last day before the public sale. According to our records the artist presale opened on Friday 23 October 2026 at 10am Pacific time, and general sale follows on Monday 26 October 2026 at 10am Pacific, through Ticketmaster. The show itself is set for Pasadena on 5 June 2027 at the Rose Bowl Stadium. Further south, the band also has four stadium dates in Australia and New Zealand in January and February 2027, and those are long past their sale: they went on sale on Friday 31 July 2026 through Ticketek and the venues' own box offices.
That gives the page two very different jobs. For the Rose Bowl, we explain what a weekend presale followed by a Monday general sale means in practice, how stadium queues behave, and what to prepare in the next twenty-four hours. For Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Wellington, we explain how the July sale worked and what is realistic now. We never publish access codes, and we cannot guarantee tickets, but we can help you avoid the usual mistakes. Use the alert form on this page if you want a message when added dates or released tickets are reported. Because the two legs sit six months apart, they also follow different rhythms: the southern shows are in the phase where only returns matter, while the Rose Bowl is in the phase where preparation matters more than anything else. Read the section that matches your situation first and skim the others for ideas you can reuse.

The next 24 hours of the System of a Down presale
If you do not yet hold a ticket for Pasadena, the first thing to note is that the artist presale is already open as you read this, and the record gives its start as Friday 23 October at 10am Pacific. Artist presales are usually based on a registration or a fan list, and they close when the public sale starts, which means that anyone who joined the list and received an access message should use it now rather than waiting for Monday. If you did not receive a message, do not panic: many presales have waves, and some stay open until the next stage.
The general sale is the part everybody can join. Monday 26 October at 10am Pacific equals 5pm in London, 6pm in Paris and 4am on Tuesday in Sydney (European clocks changed back on Sunday 25 October), so international fans should work out their own local time carefully. In the hour before the sale, open the Ticketmaster event page, log in, check that your card and phone are saved, and stay on the page. Our United States guide describes the typical behaviour of waiting rooms and the limits per order. Set two alarms, one for thirty minutes before and one for five minutes before, and write down the time in your own zone so that you do not have to calculate it under pressure.

Rose Bowl logistics and a System of a Down presale strategy
The Rose Bowl is a very large stadium with a football capacity of roughly ninety thousand, though concert layouts vary, and a single-date show there draws fans from across the country and abroad. That is important for strategy: a show with no second date means that all demand falls on one day, so the first hour of general sale will be decisive. Choose your preferred section category in advance, set a maximum price, and decide how many tickets you really need, because the quantity step comes quickly in the queue. It also helps to know that stadium concerts usually offer a range of price tiers, from general admission on the field to numbered seats in the stands, and the cheapest tier is often the first to disappear. Check the seating map on the event page and decide which area suits you before the queue starts.
Think also about the surrounding plan. Pasadena in early June is warm, and hotels in the area fill quickly for a major stadium concert, so a refundable booking is a sensible hedge while you wait for tickets. Parking near the Rose Bowl is limited and often tied to a separate pass, which the event page explains closer to the date. If you are flying in, Burbank and Los Angeles airports are both options. Our System of a Down calendar page keeps the dates in order. Arrive early on the day itself, because gates and security lines at a venue of this size are long, and read the event page for bag rules. Book transport and lodging only with free cancellation until you hold the tickets, and keep the receipts in the same folder as your order confirmation.
Artist access in a System of a Down presale
Our text says "artist presale", which means the band's own fan list or store is the gate. In recent years artists have increasingly used registration systems and unique links, and some link the early window to a merchandise or album purchase. We do not know the exact mechanism for this show beyond the date and time, so we avoid describing it as a specific programme. If you registered, check your spam folder for the message and follow the instructions exactly. The access is normally personal and cannot be passed on. Fans who joined a band list for earlier tours often discover that the same list is reused, so if you hold an account from a previous campaign, look there first and make sure the details are still correct. A good habit is to screenshot the registration page and keep the confirmation email, as customer service will ask for them. Hold on to the order number once you have bought.
What a Monday System of a Down presale ending looks like
When an artist presale ends and the public sale begins, the number of people arriving at once is much larger, but many already hold tickets. The queue is therefore often less dramatic than fans expect, especially for a weekday morning in California. Still, stadium rock tickets attract strong demand. Expect a waiting room, a randomised order, and a limited number of tickets per order. Do not refresh the page repeatedly, because that can reset your position, and do not use several devices at once. If you hold an artist presale ticket already, you do not need to join the general queue at all, and doing so can only confuse your account, so stay out of it unless you want extra seats. Stay calm, follow the on-screen steps, and accept the best available seats within your limit instead of waiting for a perfect section that may vanish in seconds while the page reloads.

Australia and New Zealand: the System of a Down presale that already happened
The southern leg consists of Accor Stadium in Sydney on 22 January 2027, Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on 27 January, Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on 1 February and Hnry Stadium in Wellington on 7 February. Our records state that general sale was on Friday 31 July 2026 through Ticketek and the venues' own box offices, and that the artist and PayPal presales took place in late July. A payment company window is a classic example of a partner presale: access depends on using that payment method at checkout, not on joining a fan list. Wellington's Hnry Stadium is the smallest of the four, and its capacity makes it the most likely to see quick sell-outs for a visiting rock band that travels so rarely. Make sure you read the start times too, because stadium shows in the southern summer often open the gates in the afternoon, and the support programme can run for several hours before the main set begins.
Today those shows are in the returns phase. Ticketek runs an official resale and transfer system for many events, and stadium holds are often released several weeks before the date. If you want to travel from the United States for one of the Australian dates, compare flight prices and the exchange rate before you buy, and check the visa rules for your passport. Our Australia presale guide and New Zealand guide explain the local protections and the normal sequence of sales. Pay special attention to the time of day when Ticketek releases holds, which is usually in the morning in local time, and compare the stadium's own box office with the main site for any separate allocations.

Why a PayPal-style System of a Down presale matters
The mention of a PayPal presale in the Sydney record is a good illustration of a wider habit. Many artists sell part of their early allocation through a partner whose customers receive access, and the partner may be a bank, a card network, a mobile operator or a payment service. The advantage for the fan is that the window is open to anyone who holds the product, without the need to be on a list; the downside is that the number of tickets can be small and the time window short. It is worth remembering that partner windows often exclude some countries, so a window announced for Australia might not apply to US residents, and the reverse is also true.
If a similar partner presale is offered for Pasadena, the same rules would apply: the code or link would come from the partner, with its own terms, and the payment method would need to match. We have no evidence of such a window for the Rose Bowl, so do not count on one. Our guides on card presales and artist presales describe the common patterns in plain terms, without implying that any specific programme applies here. Whatever the partner, you will normally see the promised access only on the partner's own pages or in its own emails, never in a message from someone you do not know. Apply the same caution to any promotion in a newsletter or on social media that promises free upgrades.
Resale, transfers and safety for System of a Down presale tickets
Stadium tickets sold through Ticketmaster are generally delivered as mobile tickets that refresh in the app, and transfer to a friend is done within the same app. Ticketek works in a similar way in Australia. Official exchanges allow fans to list tickets they cannot use, and the rules on price differ by platform and by country. Always read the terms on your order, keep the confirmation email, and never pay a seller through a channel that offers no protection. A screenshot is not a ticket, and most gates now scan dynamic barcodes. In Australia, Ticketek's transfer tools may require both parties to hold accounts, so ask your friend to create theirs before you send anything.
It is also worth understanding the effect of dynamic or variable pricing, where the price of some seats rises during high demand. Our page on dynamic pricing explains the vocabulary. The practical advice is to compare the final total, to avoid panic purchases, and to remember that prices on the official exchange can move too. If you are buying for a group, designate one buyer and decide in advance how the cost will be split. Expect fees to be listed separately in many systems, and check whether a delivery or service fee applies per ticket or per order. The decision to wait for a cheaper ticket is a gamble that rarely pays off for a sold-out stadium date, so set your limit and stick to it.
If you miss the System of a Down presale and general sale
Missing both windows is not the end of the road. Production holds and returns are the normal way that stadium shows release extra tickets, usually from three to four weeks before the date, and the Rose Bowl is no exception. Your best tool is patience: check the official page each morning, and be ready to buy a pair of seats rather than a group of six. Singles and pairs are the most common returns. Singles and pairs are easiest, and a group of four or more is unlikely to find adjacent seats late in the day or in the weeks after the sale. Also remember that waiting until the very last day carries risk if travel is involved.
You can also keep an eye on new shows. If the Pasadena date sells out quickly, a second night is a possibility that promoters sometimes add, and the same sequence of presale and general sale would normally follow. We do not know of any such addition, and we never predict one, but our alerts will report it if it appears. In the meantime, avoid any message from a stranger offering to sell you access or a code, because such offers are not part of an official presale. It is also sensible to check the band's official channels for any statement about additional shows or special arrangements.

System of a Down presale FAQ
These answers reflect our records at 25 October 2026. The Rose Bowl presale is open and the public sale is imminent; the Australian and New Zealand shows have been on sale since July. Where our records say nothing, for example about the exact registration method, we say so. If the official ticket page gives a different instruction, follow it, because it governs your order, your fees and your refund rights. We try to keep each answer short, but we also give the reason behind it so that you can adapt it to your own situation without relying on guesswork. That is the approach we take across every page on this site, whatever the artist or country. Treat the Monday time as the one to remember.
When is the System of a Down presale for the Rose Bowl?
The artist presale opened on Friday 23 October 2026 at 10am Pacific time. The general sale follows on Monday 26 October 2026 at 10am Pacific time via Ticketmaster. Convert the time to your own zone, and remember that the artist presale usually ends when general sale begins. If you did not join the list in time, general sale is your next chance, and a returned ticket may be your last one. Fans on the East Coast therefore face a 1pm start for the general sale, and fans in Europe a late-evening one, which is worth remembering if you plan to be online from another country. Prepare the account the day before and keep your phone nearby for verification messages, as these arrive at the worst moment.
Do I need an account for the System of a Down presale?
Yes. Ticketmaster requires a verified account, and the artist presale usually needs the email that you registered with. Log in the evening before, make sure that your card is saved and that your phone can receive a verification code. If you have several accounts, use the one linked to the registration. The account name should match the name that you want on any account-linked ticket. If you need to change the email on your account, do it days ahead, since verification can take time. Add the card with a billing address that matches your bank records and check that online payments are enabled, because a decline at the last second is the most common reason a fan loses a good place in a stadium queue.
Are System of a Down presale tickets still available in Australia?
The Australian and New Zealand shows have been on general sale since Friday 31 July 2026, so the standard windows are finished. Availability now depends on returns and on the official resale tools, which vary by city. Check Ticketek and the stadium box offices, and compare the shows in different cities, since capacity differs. Do not rely on third-party offers that cannot be verified. Some stadiums release a small number of tickets from the production hold in the weeks before the show, and others add accessible seating at the last minute. Check your closest box office and keep an alert on the official pages, remembering that a fan in Perth or Auckland needs to compare flight costs as well as the ticket price.
Could there be a second System of a Down presale date at Pasadena?
Our data lists only one date in the United States, on 5 June 2027. A second show is possible if demand is high, but nothing is announced and we do not predict it. If one is added, it would normally come with its own presale and general sale, and our alerts would report it. Until then, plan around the single date. What you can do now is prepare for the unlikely case: keep your Ticketmaster login ready, follow the band's official announcements, and watch our page for a note if anything changes. A second show would normally be announced after the first sells out, with a short gap before the new sale, so there would be time to react calmly rather than in a hurry.
