Presales in Brazil in 2027: Pré-venda, Meia-entrada and Card Windows

A Brazilian presale, the pré-venda, works differently from the North American model in three important ways. First, the most visible early window for international stadium shows is usually tied to a bank's cardholders, often with interest-free installments, and sometimes split by card category over successive days. Second, every sale must respect the meia-entrada, the legal right of students and other groups to buy at half price, which shapes the ticket structure from the first window onward. Third, prices are shown with a taxa de conveniência, a service fee whose legality has been examined repeatedly by Brazil's courts. In the 2027 tour data we follow, four international tours had Brazilian dates listed by late October 2026, all in São Paulo. U2's The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour 2027 has a São Paulo date on 10 March 2027 with a general sale on 22 October 2026, and Damien Rice's « O » 25th Anniversary Tour plays São Paulo on 3 May 2027.

This page explains how those pieces fit together in 2027, without repeating tour-by-tour schedules. It covers the bank windows that recur most often, the ticketing platforms that sell large shows, the rules on half-price tickets and how eligibility is checked, the virtual queue, the courts' position on convenience fees, and the legal treatment of resale, known in Brazil as cambismo. Because bank partnerships are negotiated show by show and several laws and bills have been under discussion, every specific term here should be read as the situation at the time of writing, to be confirmed in the event's regulation and the bank's current terms. The text uses US spelling and refers to prices in reais. When you want to know when and through which channel a window opens, use the alert form on this page: we send the date, the time in Brasília and the channel, never a code, because access only comes from the official source.

Pré-venda versus venda geral: the shape of a Brazilian presale

For international acts, a typical Brazilian campaign announces the show, then opens one or more pré-venda windows before the venda geral, the general sale. The early windows are usually reserved for cardholders of a partner bank, for fan club members or for registrants on the artist's list, and occasionally for customers of a sponsor such as a telecom operator or a streaming service. In the data we track, Damien Rice's São Paulo show had an artist presale on 21 October 2026 and a general sale on 23 October, a two-day gap that matches the median observed across markets. Jack Johnson's SURFILMUSIC Tour 2027 date in São Paulo on 20 February 2027 had a presale on 9 July 2026, more than seven months before the show. The median lead time between the sale and the concert for Brazilian dates in our data was about 192 days, so shows planned for the second half of 2027 are expected to go on sale in the first half of the year.

Sales in Brazil commonly open at a round hour in the morning or around midday in Brasília time, which covers São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, and the announcement states the exact time. Some campaigns also sell at physical box offices, with a separate schedule, which can be an alternative for fans without a stable connection but involves long lines on the first day. A distinctive feature is the split between inteira, the full price, and meia-entrada, the half price, shown side by side for each sector from the first window. Sectors are typically named by area, such as pista, pista premium, cadeira inferior or cadeira superior in stadiums, and the number of sectors can be large. Before the sale, study the stadium map and list two or three acceptable sectors, both at full price and, if you are eligible, at half price, because the two allocations can sell out at different speeds.

Card windows: Santander and other banks in a Brazilian presale

Bank presales are the backbone of early access for big international shows. Santander has been one of the most frequent partners in recent years, with presales for its cardholders on shows sold through Ticketmaster Brasil. For Harry Styles's two nights at the Morumbis stadium in São Paulo in July 2026, for example, coverage reported a Santander presale starting on 26 January 2026 for Private and Select cardholders, then on 27 January for other Santander cards, before a general sale on 28 January, with interest-free installments for cardholders. A similar model was reported for the Jonas Brothers at Allianz Parque in May 2026. Other banks run benefits on particular events: guides to Brazilian cards mention Bradesco discounts and installments on Lollapalooza Brasil and Itaú advantages on shows for certain premium cards. These deals change from one event to the next, and we found no regular presale program tied to the Elo network at the time of writing, so check each show's announcement.

Tiered Brazilian presale windows by card category

The tiered approach is worth understanding because it is less common elsewhere. In a tiered bank presale, the highest card categories, often private banking or high-income segments, open first, followed a day later by the bank's other cards, and only then by the general sale. Each tier draws from the same stadium, so the earliest tier sees the full map while later tiers see what remains. If you hold a card from the partner bank, check which tier it belongs to, because the start date may differ from the date announced in the headlines. Eligibility is usually verified by the first digits of the card on the ticketing site, and payment must be made with an eligible card, often with a fixed number of interest-free installments. Ticket limits per card and per CPF, the Brazilian taxpayer number, usually apply. Our presale types overview compares bank windows with artist and promoter windows in other markets.

Ticketmaster Brasil, Eventim and Ticket360: the platforms behind a Brazilian presale

Several ticketing companies share the Brazilian market, and the platform is chosen by the promoter or the venue rather than by the artist. Ticketmaster Brasil has sold many recent stadium shows in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, often alongside Santander presales. Eventim Brasil sells numerous international concerts and festivals and publishes the sector and price details for shows it handles. Ticket360 is another Brazilian platform used for concerts and events, and Sympla is common for smaller events, theater and festivals. Each has its own account system, its own virtual queue and its own approach to ticket delivery, which can be a printed ticket, a ticket in an app or a ticket linked to the buyer's identity. Create the account on the right platform before the sale, register your CPF and payment card, and confirm your email and phone number, because verification steps on the morning of a sale cost time and can expire your place in the queue.

Ticket delivery deserves attention before buying. For many large shows, tickets are issued in the buyer's name and linked to their CPF, and some campaigns ask attendees to show an identity document at the entrance, especially with half-price tickets. Mobile tickets may appear in the platform's app only a few days before the show, sometimes with a rotating code designed to prevent screenshots from being reused. If you buy for others, check whether each ticket can be assigned to a different holder and how the transfer works on that platform. The general sale for U2's São Paulo show, for instance, opened on 22 October 2026 according to our data, but each fan still had to read the platform's rules on transfers and identification. Our presale day checklist lists the account checks to do in the days before any sale.

Meia-entrada: the 40 percent rule in every Brazilian presale

Half-price admission is a legal right in Brazil, not a promotion. The federal law on meia-entrada, Law 12,933 of 2013, guarantees half-price tickets to students, people with disabilities and low-income young people aged 15 to 29, under conditions of proof set by regulation, and it limits the obligation to 40 percent of the tickets available for each event. Separately, people aged 60 and over are entitled to a 50 percent discount on cultural and leisure events under the statute that protects older people, and some states extend half-price rights to other groups, such as teachers, through state laws. In practice, this means that in a Brazilian presale every sector usually shows two prices, inteira and meia, and the half-price allocation can sell out before the full-price one. Transparency rules also require organizers to report how many half-price tickets are offered and sold, according to coverage of the regulation.

The meia-entrada also shapes the full price. Because a large share of tickets is sold at half price, organizers set the inteira with that structure in mind, which is one reason full prices in Brazil can look high compared with other markets. For buyers, the key is to decide in advance which price applies to you. If you are eligible for half price, select the meia option during checkout and be ready to prove eligibility at the entrance; if you are not, buy at full price, since a half-price ticket without valid proof can lead to being asked to pay the difference or being refused entry, depending on the event's rules. Some campaigns also offer a social or solidarity ticket, usually a discount in exchange for a food donation; it is distinct from the legal meia-entrada and its availability and terms are set by each event.

Proving eligibility after a Brazilian presale purchase

Proof of eligibility is checked at the entrance and sometimes at purchase. Students generally use the national student identification card, the Carteira de Identificação Estudantil, issued by recognized student bodies; people with disabilities show a document proving their condition, and a companion may also be entitled when necessary; low-income young people use the ID Jovem issued by the federal government; and older people show an identity document with their date of birth. Teachers and other groups covered by state laws must check the rules of the state where the event takes place. Because these documents must be valid on the day of the show, check expiry dates when you buy, not the night before. Keep the document with the ticket and the identity document used in the purchase. If you buy a half-price ticket for someone else, that person must present the proof, so make sure they qualify before you choose the meia option.

Fila virtual and the São Paulo factor in a Brazilian presale

Every Brazilian date in our 2027 data is in São Paulo, which reflects how international tours treat the country: the city's stadiums, arenas and large venues absorb most visits, with Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba, Porto Alegre or Belo Horizonte added for the biggest acts or for festivals. Demand from the whole country, and sometimes from neighboring countries, therefore converges on a few dates. Platforms handle that pressure with a fila virtual, a virtual waiting room that assigns positions when the sale opens. Arriving in the room before the start time places you in the draw; arriving after places you behind everyone already waiting. Hilary Duff's Lucky Me Tour, which lists a São Paulo date on 13 August 2027 without announced sale dates, is the kind of show where fans should prepare ahead, since the sale will be announced with little notice. Our presale queue guide explains how random positioning and session checks generally work.

Taxa de conveniência: what the courts say about Brazilian presale fees

The convenience fee charged on online ticket sales has been at the center of a long legal debate in Brazil. In 2019, a panel of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) ruled against one ticketing company charging the fee on online sales, considering it an abusive tied sale. Later decisions took a different line: the court accepted that intermediation costs can be passed on to consumers, provided that the total price and the fee are clearly informed beforehand, and in 2024 another panel considered the fee lawful even when the ticket is collected at the box office, if the amount is accessible and clear. The decisions also distinguish the convenience fee from delivery or collection fees. In 2026, consumer agencies, civil groups and Congress continued to discuss limiting or standardizing these charges, which, according to coverage, can reach a substantial share of the ticket price. No federal law had settled the issue at the time of writing.

For buyers, the practical rule is simple: compare totals, not face values. The checkout screen in a Brazilian presale should show the ticket price, the convenience fee and any delivery fee separately, and the total is what matters for your budget. The fee generally applies per ticket, so a group purchase multiplies it. Interest-free installments spread the total, including fees, over several statements. If the fee was not clearly shown before payment, keep screenshots and contact the platform; if the problem persists, consumer protection agencies, known as Procon, can receive complaints. Our dynamic pricing guide explains how pricing categories work across markets, although fully dynamic pricing is less common for international shows in Brazil than in the United States.

Cambismo, nominal tickets and transfers after a Brazilian presale

Resale above face value has a specific legal history in Brazil. For sporting events, the General Sports Law of 2023 makes it a crime to sell, or carry for sale, tickets at a price higher than the one printed on the ticket, with a penalty of imprisonment and a fine, continuing the approach of the earlier fans' statute. For concerts and other non-sporting events, that provision does not apply directly, and the legal debate has relied on the older law on crimes against the popular economy. In 2024 the Chamber of Deputies approved a bill, nicknamed in the press after a major pop tour, that would create penalties for cambismo at shows and other events; we did not find confirmation that it had become law at the time of writing. The practical frame for a fan is therefore the event's own terms, including identification rules and the conditions for transferring a ticket.

Those terms are often strict for large shows. Tickets may be nominal, issued in the buyer's name and linked to their CPF, with identity checks at the entrance and transfer possible only through the platform, if at all. Half-price tickets add another layer, since the person entering must meet the eligibility conditions. If you can no longer attend, look for the platform's official transfer or resale option and follow its steps, and keep the confirmation email until the transfer is complete. Buying from another person outside the platform carries the risk that the ticket will not match the identity checked at the door. The resale rules guide describes how different countries approach these questions, and it can help you understand why the Brazilian system relies so heavily on identity rather than on price caps.

Brazilian presale FAQ

These answers address the questions fans ask most often before a pré-venda in Brazil, from bank eligibility and half-price tickets to fees, queues and transfers. They reflect the situation as it stands at the time of writing, in autumn 2026, and they deliberately avoid promising outcomes, because no presale guarantees a ticket and each event publishes its own detailed regulation. Where an answer depends on a bank, a platform or a law that may change, it says so and points to the official source to check first. For vocabulary used in Portuguese-language announcements, such as pré-venda, venda geral, inteira, meia-entrada, setor, fila virtual and taxa de conveniência, the presale glossary explains each term. The general presale FAQ covers questions that apply in every country, and each answer below can be read on its own, so you can jump straight to the one that matches your plans for a show in 2027.

Do I need a specific bank card for a Brazilian presale?

Only for bank windows. When a show's pré-venda is reserved for the cardholders of a partner bank, the ticketing site checks the first digits of the card and the purchase must be paid with an eligible card, often with interest-free installments. If you hold the card, check which tier it belongs to, because premium categories sometimes open a day earlier. If you do not, other windows may exist, such as a fan club or artist presale, and the venda geral is open to any accepted card. The partner bank changes from one show to the next: Santander has been frequent in recent years, and other banks offer benefits on particular events. The announcement names the bank, the tiers, the dates and the limits. Our alerts send that information as soon as it is published, with the time in Brasília, so you can prepare the right card and account in advance.

Can I buy meia-entrada tickets in a Brazilian presale?

Yes, if you are eligible and if half-price tickets are offered in that window, which is usually the case. The law requires that up to 40 percent of the tickets for each event be available at half price for the groups it covers, and that quota applies across the sale rather than to each window, so half-price tickets in a popular sector can run out early. Select the meia option at checkout only if you can prove eligibility at the entrance with a valid document, such as the student identification card, the ID Jovem or proof of disability. Older people use their own entitlement under a separate statute. State laws may add other groups, so check the rules in the state where the show takes place. If you buy for someone else, that person must meet the conditions and carry the proof on the day of the show.

Why does a Brazilian presale show a taxa de conveniência?

Because ticketing platforms charge a service fee for online sales, and Brazilian courts have accepted that such intermediation costs can be passed on to consumers as long as the fee and the total price are clearly shown before payment. Earlier decisions took a stricter view, and the subject is still debated by consumer agencies and in Congress, but at the time of writing the fee is generally charged on online purchases. It is usually calculated per ticket, so buying four tickets multiplies it. Compare the total, including the fee, before confirming, and remember that interest-free installments spread the total without reducing it. If you buy at a physical box office, the rules on fees may differ, and courts have examined that case too. If the fee was not displayed clearly, keep screenshots and contact the platform, then Procon, the consumer protection agency in your state, if needed.

Can I transfer a ticket bought in a Brazilian presale?

It depends on the platform and the event. Many large shows issue nominal tickets linked to the buyer's CPF, and some require identification at the entrance, which means a transfer is only possible through the platform's official feature, if the organizer allows it. Half-price tickets must be used by someone who meets the eligibility conditions. Read the event regulation before buying, especially when purchasing for friends or family, and check whether each attendee needs an account. For sporting events, selling a ticket above the printed price is a crime under the General Sports Law; for concerts, the question has been debated in courts and in Congress, and the event's terms remain the practical reference. If a transfer fails or a ticket does not appear in the app, contact the platform's support with your order number before the day of the show, not at the gate.

How do I hear about a Brazilian presale in time?

Announcements in Brazil often come with short notice: a show is confirmed, the bank presale opens a few days later and the general sale follows within a day or two. The official sources are the artist's list and app, the promoter's channels, the ticketing platform's notifications and the partner bank's communications to cardholders. Our alerts sit alongside them. Use the alert form on this page, or tap 🔔 Alert me next to a tour on the calendar, to receive an email when a pré-venda or venda geral is announced, with the date, the time in Brasília and the channel that runs it. We never send codes, because codes and links come only from the official channel. Since the median lead time for Brazilian dates in our data was about six months, signing up early leaves time to arrange the card, the documents for meia-entrada and the trip to São Paulo.
