Presales in Ireland in 2027: The Irish Ticketing Guide
An Irish presale tends to be shorter, smaller and more concentrated than its British equivalent, simply because the market is smaller and most big shows land in one city. Of the 81 Irish dates our tracker currently follows for 2027, 54 are in Dublin, with the rest spread across places such as Slane, County Kerry, Limerick, Galway and Dundalk. That concentration means one Dublin arena night can attract buyers from the whole island and beyond, and the early windows fill accordingly. The rhythm will feel familiar to anyone who has bought in Britain: across the 52 tours we track, Wednesday is the most common presale day, the general sale falls on a Friday in 35 of the 42 cases we could date, and the median gap between first presale and public release is two days. What differs is the cast. Three Ireland rather than O2 runs the main operator presale, local promoters hold their own lists, and resale is governed by a specific Irish law.
This guide explains those differences for 2027. It covers which ticket agents carry Irish sales, how the major promoters such as MCD, Aiken Promotions and Live Nation shape the early windows, how the Three+ app works for music presales, which venues define the scale of a sale, and what the Sale of Tickets Act 2021 means once you have bought. It also deals with practical points that catch visitors out: prices in euro, sale times in Irish time, and the frequent overlap between Dublin presales and British or Belfast on-sales for the same tour. Nothing here replaces the official terms of each programme, which can change between announcements, and we never publish or distribute access codes. Instead, the aim is to help you understand the system well enough to know which windows you qualify for. Dated sales for each tour appear on the Irish calendar.

Who sells the tickets in an Irish presale
For major concerts in the Republic, Ticketmaster Ireland is the dominant agent: it appears on 49 of the platform records for Irish 2027 dates in our data, with Live Nation presale pages linked to it on ten tours. Ticketmaster Ireland is a separate storefront from Ticketmaster UK, with prices in euro and its own event pages, although a single account can generally be used on both. That matters on announcement week, because a tour such as Harry Styles' Together, Together Tour 2027, with three Dublin dates in August 2027 and three London dates the following week, ran its Irish and British sales on separate pages with different presale partners. Smaller venues and club shows sometimes use other agents or the venue's own box office, and festivals may sell through their own partner. Before the sale, confirm which storefront a Dublin or regional date sits on, check your account details and card, and make sure you are not trying to buy an Irish ticket through a British page that does not list it.
Setting up your account for an Irish presale
Because so many Irish windows run through Ticketmaster Ireland, account readiness is the single biggest factor you control. Log in a day early, confirm that your email, phone number and billing address are current, and store a card that will pass security checks for a euro transaction. Buyers from Britain or Northern Ireland sometimes find their bank flags a foreign-currency payment, so a quick test or a word with your bank can save a failed checkout at the worst moment. Artist presales often require the same email address that you used to register with the artist, so keep them consistent. Use one device and one browser for the queue: duplicate tabs on the same account can trigger security checks rather than speed you up. Finally, note the per-person ticket limit shown on the event page. Irish allocations for popular arena dates can be small, and buying the maximum in one window may prevent further purchases later in the week.

The promoters shaping each Irish presale: MCD, Aiken and Live Nation
Ireland's live business is built around a handful of established promoters, and their mailing lists are an important early-access route. MCD Productions and Aiken Promotions have promoted many of the country's largest concerts over several decades, from arena runs to open-air summer shows, and both have used subscriber presales on some of their events. Live Nation is the most frequently tagged presale partner for Irish dates in our 2027 data, appearing on ten tours including Teddy Swims, Weezer, Sombr and James Blunt. Promoter-tagged windows also appear on Sam Fender's Dublin stadium date on 1 July 2027, where the Irish sale pairs a promoter presale with the album presale on Wednesday 28 October 2026, and on First Aid Kit's Dublin show of 18 January 2027. The pattern is that the promoter window often sits a day before the general sale, and that access arrives by email or through an account login rather than a public code. Signing up to promoter newsletters well before a tour is announced is a quiet but effective habit.

Three Ireland and the operator Irish presale
Where Britain has O2 Priority, Ireland has Three. Three Ireland took over O2's Irish business in 2015, and its sponsorship of the 3Arena in Dublin has made it the most visible mobile brand in Irish live music. Its Three+ rewards app regularly carries early access for concerts and festivals, and in our 2027 data a Three presale is tagged on two Irish sales: André Rieu's Dublin date on 10 September 2027, which used a Three window ahead of the 23 October 2026 general sale, and First Aid Kit's January show, where Three sat alongside artist, promoter and Spotify windows. Three Ireland has also offered late releases to customers through Three+, such as a final allocation for Electric Picnic 2026. Eligibility depends on being a Three Ireland customer, and the service is separate from Three in the UK, so a British Three account will not show Irish offers. Check current eligibility in the app, as the terms can change.
How the code works in a Three+ Irish presale
The process generally works like this. A presale is listed in the Three+ app shortly before it opens, often on the morning of the sale itself. You select the event and generate a code inside the app, then use that code on the ticket agent's page, usually Ticketmaster Ireland, when the window starts. Codes are personal to the customer who generates them and are not meant to be shared, and allocations are limited, so popular dates can sell their operator share within minutes. Because the listing can appear only on the morning, it helps to open the app early, refresh it a few minutes before the start time and have your agent account already logged in on a second screen. If the offer does not appear, the Three community forum is usually the place where staff confirm whether a presale has been delayed. Our alerts tell you which tours carry a Three window and when it is due, but the code itself always comes from the app.

Venues that set the scale of an Irish presale
The size of a sale in Ireland depends heavily on the venue. Croke Park and the Aviva Stadium in Dublin host the country's largest concerts, usually in summer, and their capacity means stadium presales can release very large allocations in a single morning. The 3Arena is the main indoor arena for touring acts, and many 2027 Dublin dates in our tracker, from Gracie Abrams to Simple Minds, sit in arena or large-theatre rooms. Outdoor sites such as Marlay Park, which hosts a summer concert series, and the grounds at Slane Castle, which have staged large one-day shows for decades, add another layer. Outside Dublin, our 2027 data includes multiple dates in County Kerry, Limerick and other counties, often for country and Irish music acts such as Mike Denver, whose fifteen-date 2027 Irish run went on general sale in January 2026 with no presale at all. Smaller regional shows frequently skip early windows entirely, which is worth knowing before you search.
Outdoor summer shows and the Irish presale timetable
Open-air shows tend to follow a longer timetable than arena tours. Fontaines D.C.'s two Slane dates on 26 and 27 June 2027 went on general sale on 10 September 2026, more than nine months ahead, and Sam Fender's Dublin stadium date opens to presale eight months before the show. Across Ireland, our data puts the median time between general sale and the concert at 251 days, or a little over eight months. For festival-sized events, that long lead can include a deposit or instalment option, extra dates released after strong demand, and late allocations through partners such as Three. It also means the summer 2027 calendar is still filling: some outdoor shows for next year have not been announced at the time of writing, and announcements for Irish summer concerts commonly arrive in the autumn and winter before. If you follow a particular artist, an alert set now will catch both the announcement and any presale that comes with it.

The law after an Irish presale: the Sale of Tickets Act 2021
Ireland is one of the few European countries with a specific law against selling concert and sports tickets above their original price. The Sale of Tickets (Cultural, Entertainment, Recreational and Sporting Events) Act 2021 came into force on 31 July 2021. It bans the resale of tickets for designated events and designated venues at a price above the original sale price, with limited exemptions for amateur sports clubs and registered charities raising funds. Government statements at the time referred to fines of up to €100,000 for the most serious breaches, with possible imprisonment on indictment. For buyers, this means that a ticket bought in an Irish presale for a designated event can usually be resold only at or below what you paid, whether through the official exchange or elsewhere. It also changes the incentive to buy in bulk at a presale purely to sell later. Our resale rules page compares the Irish approach with other markets.
What "designated" means for Irish presale buyers
The Act does not automatically cover every ticket. Venue operators and event organisers apply to the Minister to have a venue or event designated, and the Minister can grant, refuse or revoke that designation. According to the government's post-enactment review, the scheme is mainly aimed at venues able to hold 1,000 people or more, although a smaller venue can be designated where above-price resale is a concern. Designations have been granted for a range of venues and events since 2021, but you should not assume the rule applies to every show, particularly smaller rooms or events held outside the usual venues. If you are unsure, the event page or the organiser's terms will often state whether resale is restricted. The official resale facility on Irish event pages is designed to list tickets at face value for events covered by the Act. Whichever route you use, keep your original confirmation, as it records the price paid and helps if a question arises about the value of a ticket you are transferring to someone else.
Irish presale timing alongside UK on-sales
Ireland and the United Kingdom share a time zone, so a 9am or 10am start in Dublin is the same clock time as in London or Belfast. That makes joint UK and Ireland tours easy to follow but also creates overlaps. Many tours in our data, from Editors and Nothing But Thieves to Passenger, Erasure and Slash, put their Dublin and British dates on sale on the same Friday morning. When the presale partners differ, the Irish and British windows can open on different days: Nickelback's 2027 tour ran an artist presale on Tuesday 13 October 2026 at 10am Irish time for Dublin, with network and promoter windows following before the Friday general sale. Prices for Irish dates are in euro and include Irish VAT, and fees can differ from the British pages, so compare totals rather than headline prices. For anyone willing to travel, the overlap is also an opportunity: a sold-out Dublin presale does not mean a sold-out Belfast or Glasgow date.
When an Irish presale clashes with Belfast or Britain
Belfast is part of the UK market, so its dates usually sell through UK partners such as O2 Priority, priced in sterling, while Dublin dates sell through Irish partners in euro. If a tour visits both, you may face two queues at once on Friday morning. Decide in advance which one is your priority, because running two queues on one account can trigger security checks, and the ticket limit on each date applies separately. If you are buying for a group, split the work: one person in the Dublin queue and one in the Belfast or British queue, with an agreed rule about who stops if the first succeeds. Remember that the Irish resale law applies to tickets for designated Irish events, while British rules apply to Belfast, so the two dates can have different resale conditions even on the same tour. Our UK presale guide explains the British side in full.

Irish presale FAQ
These answers address the questions Irish buyers ask us most often, focusing on how the system works rather than on individual tours, since partners and timings change with every announcement. Where we mention a programme or a law, we describe the position at the time of writing and suggest checking the current terms before relying on it, because providers update eligibility and allocations without much notice. We do not sell, publish or pass on presale codes. Every legitimate code or access link comes from the channel running that window: the artist's mailing list, Three+, a card issuer, a promoter or the ticket agent itself. What we provide is timing: our alerts tell you which windows a tour is using and when each one is due to open, so you can register in time. To receive that notice for a particular tour, use the alert form on this page or tap 🔔 Alert me beside the tour in the calendar listing.
Do I need to live in Ireland to join an Irish presale?
Generally no, for artist and promoter presales: they are usually open to anyone who registers or subscribes, wherever they live, and tickets for Dublin dates can be bought from abroad through Ticketmaster Ireland. Operator presales are different, because Three+ access depends on being a Three Ireland customer, and card presales depend on holding the relevant card. Some presales do restrict access by country or require a local billing address, and a few high-demand events have limited registration to particular regions, so read the terms on each sign-up page. Visitors should also check that their bank will approve a euro payment and that tickets can be delivered to their phone or collected without a local address. Mobile tickets are now standard for most Irish arena and stadium shows, which makes buying from Britain or further afield more straightforward than it once was. If in doubt, contact the ticket agent's support team before the sale rather than during it.
How many tickets can I buy in an Irish presale?
The limit is set for each event and shown on the event page, and it varies widely: a generous cap for a seated theatre show may become a much tighter one for a high-demand stadium night. Presale windows sometimes apply a lower limit than the general sale. The cap is usually enforced across your account, your payment card and your address, so buying the maximum in one window may block a later purchase for the same date. Group buyers should plan who is buying for whom before the first window opens. The Sale of Tickets Act adds another reason to buy only what you need: for designated events you cannot recover more than the original price by reselling, so there is no financial reward for overbuying. If plans change, the official face-value exchange is the practical route to pass on spare tickets, and some events also allow name changes or transfers through the agent's app.
Can I resell an Irish presale ticket if I can no longer go?
Yes, within limits. For designated events and venues under the Sale of Tickets Act 2021, you may resell a ticket only at or below the price you originally paid, and the law applies to sellers and to platforms that facilitate sales above that price. Ticketmaster Ireland operates a resale facility that lists tickets at face value for many events covered by the Act, and some events allow transfer to a friend through the account. Check the event's terms first, because some shows restrict transfers or require the original buyer to attend, particularly for VIP packages and seated arena dates with named tickets. Keep your purchase confirmation, which proves the original price. If an event is not designated, other rules may apply, so look at the conditions on the event page. In every case, resale should go through a route that transfers the ticket properly to the new holder, rather than simply sharing a screenshot or barcode that may be cancelled or duplicated.
Why did my Irish presale sell out in minutes?
Presale allocations are a portion of the house, not the whole of it, and in a small market a popular Dublin date can attract demand from the whole island, from Britain and from overseas fans. When several windows run in the same week, each one may hold only a few hundred or a few thousand tickets for an arena date, so the first minutes decide most outcomes. A sell-out in one window does not necessarily mean the show is gone. Later presales, the general sale, additional dates and production releases closer to the show can all make further tickets available; Fontaines D.C., for example, have two Slane dates in 2027 rather than one. Face-value resale also returns tickets to the market as plans change. If you miss out, set an alert for the tour, check the official exchange regularly in the final weeks, and look at nearby dates such as Belfast or Britain, which may sell through different partners and on different timings.
