Promoter Presales in 2027: Live Nation, AEG and Local Promoter Windows
A promoter presale is the window a concert promoter opens for people registered with its own newsletter, app or membership, usually in the last day or two before general sale. Promoters are the companies that book the tour into each market, rent the venues, set the ticket allocations and decide which partners get early access, so their own window is the one rung that appears on almost every tour they handle. Live Nation and AEG Presents are the global names, but much of the work is done by national and regional companies: SJM Concerts in the UK, MCD in Ireland, Frontier Touring in Australia and New Zealand, evenko in Quebec, Ocesa in Mexico, Mojo in the Netherlands, FKP Scorpio in Germany, Doctor Music in Spain and many others. In 2027 most of these firms run a free sign-up that gives access to their window, and several run paid or loyalty memberships on top of it.
Across the tours we have followed this autumn, the promoter's window has most often fallen on a Thursday, the day before a Friday general sale. Ayra Starr's Toronto date opened its Live Nation and evenko window on Thursday 15 October 2026 at ten in the morning; First Aid Kit's Dublin show had an MCD window on Thursday 8 October; and Sam Fender's Dublin stadium date has its MCD window scheduled for Thursday 29 October at half past nine Irish time. Australia breaks the pattern, with promoter windows on Mondays and Fridays as well. This page explains how each type of promoter scheme works, what changes between countries, and how to make sure you are on the right list for the right city. We never share promoter codes or links: our alerts tell you when the window is published for a date you follow and when it opens locally, so you can watch for the promoter's own email.

What a promoter presale is for
For the promoter, the window is a marketing tool and a data asset. Every person who signs up gives the company a way to reach them about future tours, and the window rewards that sign-up with an early chance at tickets. Because the promoter controls the overall sale plan, it also decides how much inventory its own window receives relative to the artist's list, card and phone partners and the general sale. That allocation is negotiated with the artist's team and is rarely published. The window usually sits late in the ladder, after the artist and paying partners, because the promoter's list is free to use and the partners pay for priority. That position has a hidden advantage for fans: by the time the promoter's window opens, a share of the most determined buyers have already bought in earlier windows, and the remaining competition can be lighter than on the first morning. The flip side is that the best seats may already be gone, especially for stadium shows where earlier windows take a large share.

The global promoter presale schemes: Live Nation and AEG Presents
Live Nation's scheme, widely known as My Live Nation, is the most visible. Fans register for free on the promoter's national website, choose their favourite artists and nearby venues, and receive an email before each window they are eligible for. In the UK, the window commonly opens on a Thursday at ten in the morning for registered fans, with general sale on Friday; Thomas Rhett's 2027 UK arena dates, for example, had a Live Nation window on Thursday 6 August 2026. The promoter runs similar schemes in many countries, from Canada and the United States to France, Belgium, Scandinavia, Poland and Australia. AEG Presents operates its own sign-ups for the tours and venues it controls, often branded locally, and its window can appear on tours where the artist's management has a long relationship with the company. Both groups also own or operate venues, which means their windows can overlap with venue lists. Read the event page to see which company is promoting each specific date.
How a Live Nation promoter presale delivers access
Delivery has changed over the years. For a long period, registered fans received a shared code by email on the morning of the window, which they entered on the ticketing page. Increasingly, access is tied to the fan's ticketing account, either through a unique link or by unlocking automatically for logged-in users whose email matches the promoter's list. In North America, Live Nation's window often appears on Ticketmaster as a line labelled with the promoter's name, and it frequently opens on a Thursday at ten in the morning or at noon local time, as with Calvin Harris' Toronto date at noon on Wednesday 21 October 2026, which shows that the day can vary. In Australia and New Zealand, the window often opens at midday, with Kings of Leon's Live Nation window set for Friday 23 October 2026 at midday local time. Whatever the method, make sure the email you registered with is the same as the one used for your ticketing account, because mismatches are the most common reason access fails.
The national promoter presale in the UK and Ireland
Britain has an unusually dense field of promoters. Live Nation and AEG handle many arena tours, but SJM Concerts, Kilimanjaro, DHP Family, Metropolis, Academy Music Group and others promote a large share of the market, and each has its own list or works with partners. SJM, for instance, promotes many arena and stadium tours and runs its own newsletter, while smaller promoters may rely on the artist's list and venue windows instead. In Ireland, MCD is the dominant name for larger shows and runs its own window, typically on the Thursday before a Friday general sale, as on First Aid Kit's and Sam Fender's Dublin dates. Aiken Promotions handles a significant share of other Irish tours, often with their own sign-up. Because promoters differ between Belfast and Dublin, a single Irish tour may involve two promoters and two windows. For UK and Irish fans, it is worth signing up with every promoter that books the kind of shows you like, since each controls a separate allocation.
Reading which promoter runs a UK or Irish promoter presale
The quickest way to identify the promoter is to look at the event page, which usually names the company in the small print or the presenter line, such as "SJM Concerts presents" or "MCD presents". Tour posters carry the same information, often in the bottom corner. Once you know the promoter, you know which list will give you access to its window and which company to contact if something goes wrong. Some tours split promoters by region, with one company handling England and Wales, another Scotland, and a third Ireland, so check each date. Venue ownership adds a further layer: a promoter that owns a chain of academy-style venues may run a combined venue and promoter list, while a promoter that rents an arena will share early access with the arena's own newsletter. Our UK and Ireland guides list the main promoters and the windows they usually run, so you can decide which lists are worth joining.

Promoter presale memberships in Australia and New Zealand
Australia's promoters run some of the most developed membership schemes in the world. Frontier Touring offers a free Frontier Member sign-up that gives access to its window on the tours it promotes, and these windows often run for a set period such as twenty-four hours. Craig David's Australian dates are a current example: Frontier Member and artist windows open together on Monday 26 October 2026 at midday local time for twenty-four hours. Live Nation, TEG and other promoters run their own lists in the country, and windows frequently fall on a Monday or Tuesday, a few days before a Thursday or Friday general sale. The Strokes' Australian dates combined the artist, card and phone windows at nine in the morning on Monday 28 September, with the promoter window at midday the same day. Angus & Julia Stone ran their own and the promoter windows across 8 and 9 September. In New Zealand, promoters work with local partners, and the same tour may use a different company than in Australia.

The promoter presale across mainland Europe
Each European country has its own landscape of promoters, which shapes how the window looks. In the Netherlands, Mojo runs many arena and stadium shows and offers its own window, as FLO's Amsterdam date showed with a Mojo window on Thursday 8 October 2026. In Germany, FKP Scorpio, Live Nation, DEAG, Semmel Concerts and others promote large tours, and their windows may be branded as a promoter presale on Eventim or Ticketmaster; personalised tickets are increasingly common for big German shows. In Spain, Doctor Music, Live Nation, Last Tour and others share the market, and windows often coincide with a bank or card partner. In France, Live Nation and other national promoters run lists, and the card window has become a regular companion to the promoter's own. In the Nordic countries, Live Nation is joined by local promoters and sometimes by media partners, as Bryan Adams' Oslo date showed with a newspaper window. The common thread is the timing: one or two days before general sale, usually at ten in the morning.
How a German or Spanish promoter presale may require registration
In some European markets, the promoter's window is turning into a registration system rather than a simple list. Fans register for a particular tour or show in advance, sometimes on the ticket seller's platform, and are then sent access on the day if selected. This approach is used for high-demand events to reduce bulk buying and to tie each purchase to a real account. Germany, with its tradition of personalised tickets for large shows, is moving most clearly in this direction, but similar systems appear in Spain, Italy and Poland for in-demand tours. Where registration is required, the deadline is often a day or more before the window opens, and missing it means no access, even if you are on the promoter's general newsletter. Read the announcement carefully for words such as "register by" or "registration required", and remember that registration does not guarantee selection or tickets. The Germany and Spain guides explain local practice in more depth.
The promoter presale in North America and Latin America
In the United States, the two global groups dominate, and the promoter's window often shares Thursday with venue, radio and ticket-seller windows. In Canada, Live Nation and AEG are joined by evenko in Quebec and other regional promoters, and windows usually open at ten in the morning local time. In Latin America, the picture is shaped by a few large national promoters. Ocesa is the dominant name in Mexico, and its calendar commonly combines a bank window with fan and promoter access in the days before general sale; in Mexico City this autumn, several tours opened with a Banamex window. Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Colombia each have their own leading promoters, which run lists and sometimes loyalty schemes tied to ticketing platforms. Because bank windows play such a large role in the region, the promoter's own list is often less prominent than in Europe, but it remains a useful source of announcements. The Mexico and Brazil guides explain how windows are usually ordered.
Getting the most from a promoter presale
The single most useful step is to register with every promoter that books the kind of shows you attend, in every country where you might buy tickets. Registration is usually free and takes a few minutes, but it must be done in advance: lists are often frozen when a tour is announced, and late sign-ups may only count for future tours. Choose favourite artists and venues where the scheme allows it, because some promoters only email fans who have selected relevant preferences. Keep the same email address across promoter lists and ticketing accounts, and add the promoter's sender addresses to your contacts so that messages do not end up in spam. On sale day, log in to your ticketing account early, check your saved card and know which price level you are aiming for. If the promoter's window sells its allocation, the general sale the next day usually includes a larger share of seats. Our alerts list each promoter window published for a date you follow, with its local start time.

Promoter presale FAQ
These are the questions readers most often ask about early access through concert promoters. The answers reflect how the main promoters' schemes usually work in the countries we follow, but each promoter sets its own rules, which can change between tours and even between dates on the same tour. When a tour is announced, the promoter's own message and the event page are the reliable sources for timing, access method and ticket limits; information copied from an earlier tour or another country may no longer apply. Pay particular attention to registration deadlines for high-demand shows, which can close well before the window opens. Keep in mind that the window gives you a chance to buy within a limited allocation, not a guaranteed ticket, and that ticket limits generally apply across all windows for the same show. We never distribute promoter codes or links; our alerts tell you when a promoter window has been published and when it opens in local time.
Do I need to pay to join a promoter presale list?
For most promoters, no. The standard newsletter or account that gives access to the promoter's window is free, because the promoter benefits from having your contact details for future marketing. Some promoters add paid or loyalty memberships with extra benefits, such as earlier access, premium seating or members-only events, but the basic window rarely requires payment. Before paying for any membership, check what it actually adds compared with the free list: earlier access is valuable only if the allocation is meaningful. Be wary of anyone charging a fee for access to a promoter window on your behalf, since access is tied to your own account and email and cannot legitimately be sold. If you want to cover several promoters, the cost is time rather than money: a few minutes per sign-up, plus keeping your preferences and contact details up to date, especially when you change email address or move to a different city or country.
Why did I not receive my promoter presale email?
The most common causes are a missed sign-up deadline, an email filtered into spam or promotions, and preferences that do not include the artist or venue. Some promoters only send window emails to fans who have chosen relevant artists, genres or venues, so a general subscription may not be enough. Others freeze the list when the tour is announced, which means recent sign-ups are excluded. Changes in email provider or a typo in your address can also stop messages arriving. If you do not receive an expected email, check the spam and promotions folders, then look at the event page: some promoters unlock their window automatically for logged-in users whose email is on the list, in which case no email is needed. If none of that works, contact the promoter's support team before the window opens. Our alerts cannot replace the promoter's own message, but they will tell you when to expect it.
Is the promoter presale the same as the venue presale?
Not always, although they can overlap. The promoter's window belongs to the company that books the tour, while the venue's window belongs to the building's operator. When a promoter also owns or operates the venue, the two lists may be combined, or the venue window may be run through the promoter's scheme. When the promoter rents a venue from a separate operator, the two windows are distinct, each with its own allocation and sign-up, and they often run on the same Thursday at different times. Checking the event page will usually reveal which windows are available and who runs them. If both exist, being on both lists gives you two separate chances, subject to the overall ticket limit for the show. Our venue presale page explains how building lists work, and the presale types overview shows how the promoter's window fits among the other rungs of the ladder in each country.
Why does the promoter presale open on a Thursday?
The Thursday slot reflects the structure of the sale week in many countries. Tours are often announced early in the week, the artist's list and paying partners take Tuesday and Wednesday, and the general sale opens on Friday morning. The promoter's own list, which is free for the tour to use, fills the last slot before the public sale. This pattern is strongest in the UK, Ireland, the United States and Canada, and it is common in mainland Europe as well. Australia and New Zealand often follow a different rhythm, with Monday windows and general sales later in the week. There are many exceptions even in Thursday markets, especially for stadium tours with complex ladders or for dates added after the first announcement. Always check the published schedule for each date, and use our alerts to receive the local start time of each window as soon as the promoter publishes it, so the day of the week never catches you out.
