New Zealand Presale Calendar 2027: Tour On-Sales

The New Zealand presale calendar on this page lists the 2027 tours with New Zealand shows that we currently follow, together with their cities, their show dates and the sale information published so far. At the time of writing, the table covers 34 tours and 61 shows, from single club nights to multi-city arena runs, and it is updated as promoters confirm new dates and windows. This text explains how to get the most out of the table: what the different statuses mean, how the ๐Ÿ”” Alert me button works, what the data reveals about the timing of New Zealand on-sales, and which tours are still waiting for sale details. It is written to sit alongside the table rather than repeat it, so the focus is on patterns and practical reading rather than a list of every row. Nothing here is estimated: if a sale date has not been announced, the calendar shows it as not yet published, and so does this commentary.

New Zealand's touring calendar is closely tied to Australia's, because most international acts visit both countries in one trip, and the table reflects that. The busiest month by far is February 2027, with 15 tours playing, followed by March with seven and January with six; April, May and July add a few more. That concentration in late summer is typical, as touring artists combine New Zealand dates with the Australian festival and arena season. Later 2027 months are sparse for now, mainly because tours for the New Zealand winter and spring have not yet been widely announced. As those announcements arrive, they will be added with their dates and sale information. If you are new to how presales work here, including promoter windows, partner presales and ticket sellers, our New Zealand presale guide covers the mechanics, while this page concentrates on what the calendar itself tells you about the 2027 season.

Reading the New Zealand presale calendar table

Every row in the table corresponds to a tour rather than a single concert. It shows the artist, the number of New Zealand shows, the first and last dates, the cities and the sale details we hold. The status column summarises where each tour stands. An upcoming sale means a presale or general sale is scheduled in the future, and the date shown is the next one due. On sale means the general sale date has passed and tickets have been released to the public; whether seats remain depends on demand, so check the official seller. TBA means shows are confirmed but sale details have not been published in the data we hold. A presale column, where filled, shows the first early window we recorded; there may be others on the same tour. Because times are not always stated in announcements, the table shows dates only, and you should confirm the exact time on the promoter's tour page.

Using ๐Ÿ”” Alert me in the New Zealand presale calendar

Each row has a ๐Ÿ”” Alert me button. Tapping it subscribes you to updates for that tour, so you receive an email when a presale or general sale is announced, rescheduled or about to begin, with the date, the time where known and the official channel running it. It is most useful for rows marked TBA, where sale details may appear suddenly with a presale only a day or two away. The alert does not reserve seats, place you in a queue or provide any form of access; presale access always comes from the official channel, such as the promoter's member list, the artist's mailing list or a card partner. It simply saves you from checking dozens of announcements. You can follow as many tours as you like, and the general alert form on this page covers every New Zealand sale if you would rather not pick tours individually. You can unsubscribe at any time from the link in each email.

Timing patterns in the New Zealand presale calendar

The general sale column reveals a strong weekly rhythm. Among the 31 tours with a recorded New Zealand general sale, 15 went on sale on a Friday, seven on a Thursday and four on a Tuesday. Presale dates are scarcer in the data, but where they exist they fall the day before the general sale, and the median gap between first presale and general sale is just one day. Kings of Leon is the clearest example in the current table: its single Auckland show on 24 February 2027 had presales starting on 22 October 2026, with the general sale on 27 October, a slightly longer sequence than usual because several partner windows were involved. In practice, the rhythm means that a New Zealand tour announced early in the week is often fully on general sale by Friday, which leaves little time to arrange accounts or registrations once the announcement has been made.

Lead times in the New Zealand presale calendar

The table also shows how early tickets go on sale relative to the shows. The median lead time across tours with a recorded general sale is about 209 days, roughly seven months, slightly longer than in Australia. The earliest on-sale in the current data is The Human League, whose February 2027 shows in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch went on sale in February 2026, a full year before the tour. Many of the February and March 2027 tours went on sale between June and September 2026: Simple Minds and Drax Project in June, Joe Jackson and Bryan Adams in July, UB40 and Fat Freddy's Drop in August, and Gillian Welch & David Rawlings and Kneecap in September. Shorter lead times appear for tours added late to an Asia-Pacific routing. If a tour you care about is still TBA a few months before its dates, expect the sale announcement to arrive with short notice.

Cities in the New Zealand presale calendar

Auckland dominates the table, appearing on 34 shows, followed by Wellington and Christchurch with 12 each. Nelson has two shows, both Fat Freddy's Drop's anniversary concerts in January 2027, and Hamilton has one, part of Gillian Welch & David Rawlings's four-city tour, which is the widest New Zealand routing in the current data. Most international tours play Auckland only or Auckland plus one other city: Kneecap, Del Amitri and Squeeze pair Auckland with Wellington, while Max McNown, Madness and Ronan Keating pair Auckland with Christchurch. Drax Project's show is in Wellington only. When reading a row, check whether your city is included before planning around a presale, because the windows and ticket sellers can differ between cities on the same tour. Additional shows are sometimes added after strong early sales, usually a second night in Auckland, and the alert function reports those additions to anyone following the tour, so you do not need to register again.

Wellington and Christchurch in the New Zealand presale calendar

For fans outside Auckland, the calendar is a useful way to see which tours actually reach the rest of the country. In the current data, Simple Minds, The Human League, Gillian Welch & David Rawlings and Arthur Hill all play Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, which is the fullest routing an international tour usually takes. Wellington and Christchurch shows tend to have smaller capacities than Auckland, so early windows matter more there, not less. Some fans in the South Island travel to Auckland for tours that skip Christchurch, which adds to demand on the Auckland date. If your city is not on a tour, the alert button is still worth using, because added dates in other cities are announced through the same channels and appear in the table as soon as they are published. It is also worth noting that the same tour can sell through different agencies in Wellington and Auckland, which affects your account preparation.

Platforms recorded in the New Zealand presale calendar

Where we know the ticketing companies involved, the table lists them. Ticketmaster appears on 29 tours in the current data, Ticketek on 19 and AXS on 12, with Live Nation listed on one tour where it ran its own presale. Many rows show two or three companies because different venues use different sellers, while others show just one: Gillian Welch & David Rawlings, Kneecap and Drax Project list Ticketmaster alone, for instance. Some rows show no platform yet, usually the TBA tours. Use this information to prepare: if a tour lists both Ticketmaster and Ticketek, you may need accounts with both, verified with your mobile number and with a payment card saved. Always confirm the authorised seller for your specific show on the promoter's tour page, because the table records what was announced and promoters occasionally add agencies or move shows between venues after the initial announcement, sometimes upgrading to a larger room.

Why few rows show a New Zealand presale calendar date

Only three of the 34 tours in the current table carry a recorded presale date: Kings of Leon, Empire of the Sun, whose Auckland presale ran on 17 September 2026 ahead of its general sale the next day, and Tash Sultana, whose Auckland and Wellington presale came on 28 September, one day before the public sale. That does not mean the other tours had no presale. In New Zealand, presales are frequently announced only to promoter members or artist mailing lists rather than in the public announcement, and some tours genuinely go straight to general sale. The low number of recorded presales is therefore a reminder to join the relevant lists rather than rely on public announcements alone. Our promoter presale page explains how those member windows are usually organised, and the alert button on each row notifies you if a presale is added later, even after the general sale.

Tours awaiting details in the New Zealand presale calendar

A few rows currently have show dates but no sale information. Bruno Mars has three Auckland shows listed between 13 and 16 March 2027; Lizzy McAlpine has an Auckland date on 14 February 2027; and Sombr has an Auckland show on 27 April 2027. For each, the sale columns show TBA because no New Zealand presale or general sale date is in the data we hold. We will not estimate those dates, because promoters often announce sales on a different schedule from the shows, and New Zealand sales are not always aligned with Australian ones. These are the rows where an alert matters most. When their sale details are published, they may involve registrations or presales opening within days. If you are interested in any of them, tap ๐Ÿ”” Alert me now and make sure your accounts with the main ticketing companies are ready, since we do not yet know which will be used.

Upcoming sales in the New Zealand presale calendar

At the time of writing, one tour in the table has an upcoming sale: Kings of Leon, whose general sale for the Auckland show is scheduled for 27 October 2026, after presales that began on 22 October. Once that date passes, its status will change to on sale. All other tours with recorded sales are already on sale, which reflects the fact that most of the early-2027 New Zealand shows were sold during 2026. New tours will appear in the table as they are announced, most likely for later in 2027, and they will start with an upcoming status once sale dates are known. If you want to catch each new announcement, the most effective approach is to use the general alert form on this page, which covers all New Zealand sales, together with the individual alert buttons for any artists you particularly care about, so that you receive both new tours and changes to existing ones.

The 2027 season ahead in the New Zealand presale calendar

For the rest of 2027, the calendar is likely to grow mainly with tours for the New Zealand winter, spring and the start of the 2027 to 2028 summer. Westlife's four shows in Auckland and Christchurch at the end of July 2027 and UB40's Auckland show in May 2027 are the furthest-out New Zealand dates in the current data; tours further out have not yet been announced. Based on the patterns so far, new tours are likely to follow the same approach: Auckland as the anchor, possibly with Wellington or Christchurch, a short sequence of presales and a general sale on a Thursday or Friday, and lead times of several months. Because New Zealand often opens before other markets on the world clock, the table is also a useful early indicator for fans following Asia-Pacific tours. Our Australian presale calendar shows the matching Australian legs of many of these tours.

New Zealand presale calendar FAQ

The answers below explain how the calendar is compiled and how to use it with official sources. The calendar is a timing guide, not a ticket seller: it records what promoters and artists have announced, and the official tour page always takes precedence if there is any difference, particularly regarding exact times. We do not publish presale codes or any other form of access, and the rows in the table cannot be used to buy tickets. If a row looks out of date, an announcement has probably been made since the last update and will be reflected soon. Presale access always comes from the official channel that runs each window, whether a promoter's membership, an artist's mailing list or a card partner, and nobody else can legitimately provide it. For definitions of terms used in the table and in these answers, see the presale glossary, which explains them in plain English with examples.

How current is the New Zealand presale calendar?

The calendar is refreshed regularly from the tour announcements we track. New tours, added shows and sale dates are added as they are published, and status changes, such as a tour moving from an upcoming sale to on sale, happen automatically once the relevant date has passed. Because the gap between presale and general sale in New Zealand is often only one day, a window announced and opened on the same day may occasionally appear after it has started. That is why the alert function exists: it is triggered by changes in the data, so you are notified as soon as a new window or tour is recorded, without having to check the table repeatedly. For tours that matter most to you, combine alerts with membership of the promoter's list and the artist's mailing list, so that you also receive presale information shared only with members, which is common in New Zealand.

Why does the New Zealand presale calendar differ from the Australian one?

Even when a tour visits both countries, the New Zealand and Australian legs are sold separately and the data is recorded separately. The New Zealand dates may go on sale on a different day, involve different ticketing companies, and have different presales or none at all. A card or telco partner presale in Australia may not apply in New Zealand, and some New Zealand shows have local arrangements with no Australian equivalent. The New Zealand table is also much smaller, with 34 tours compared with 68 in the Australian calendar, because many tours visit Australia only. Comparing the two tables for the same artist is a useful way to spot differences in timing, and the Australian table can be an early indicator of demand. Our alerts report each country separately, so following a tour in one country does not automatically subscribe you to the other; tap both rows if you need both.

What time do sales in the New Zealand presale calendar open?

The table shows dates rather than times, because announcements do not always specify the time and promoters use different conventions. Many New Zealand sales open in the morning or around midday local time, but this varies from tour to tour. New Zealand observes daylight saving from late September to early April, moving from UTC+12 to UTC+13, so during the main on-sale season for summer tours the country is two hours ahead of Sydney and Melbourne and typically opens its sales before most other markets on the world clock. A morning sale in Auckland happens on the previous evening in Europe and the previous afternoon in North America. When the time has been announced, our alert emails include it in New Zealand time. If you are buying from overseas, convert from Auckland time and double-check around the daylight saving changes in March, April, September and October, when gaps shift by an hour.

Does a TBA row in the New Zealand presale calendar mean tickets are not available?

Not necessarily. TBA in the table means that no sale date for the New Zealand shows is recorded in the data we hold. In most cases this is because the promoter has announced the dates but not yet the sale details, which is common, especially for tours whose Australian legs are being announced first. Sometimes, however, sales may have been announced in a channel we have not yet captured, so if you are keen on a TBA tour, check the promoter's tour page directly as well as setting an alert. Never assume a TBA tour will follow the same schedule as its Australian leg, because New Zealand shows are often sold on different days. When the sale details arrive, the row changes to an upcoming status with the relevant date, and anyone who has tapped ๐Ÿ”” Alert me on that row receives an email with the date, time and official channel.
