Australian Presale Calendar 2027: Tour On-Sales by City

How to read the Australian presale calendar table

Each row in the table represents one tour, not one show. The row gives the artist, the number of Australian dates, the first and last show, the cities visited and the sale information we hold. The status column is the most important part. A tour with an upcoming sale has a presale or general on-sale scheduled in the future, and the date shown is the next relevant one. A tour marked as on sale has passed its general on-sale date, which means tickets were released to the public, although availability now depends on demand. A tour marked as TBA has confirmed show dates but no published sale details; that is common in the days after an announcement or when a promoter announces dates first and sales later. Where a presale is listed, it is the first early window we have recorded, which may be one of several. Dates are those announced locally, so always confirm times on the official page.

The 🔔 Alert me button in the Australian presale calendar

Next to each tour you will find a 🔔 Alert me button. Tapping it registers your interest in that particular tour, so that when a presale or general sale date is announced, changed or about to open, you receive an email telling you when it happens and which official channel runs it. This is particularly useful for tours that are currently TBA, because those are the ones most likely to gain a presale at short notice. The alert does not reserve tickets or give you any form of access; access always comes from the official channel, such as the promoter's member list, the artist's fan club or the card issuer. What the alert does is remove the need to watch dozens of announcements yourself. You can register for as many tours as you like, and the general alert form on this page lets you follow every Australian sale at once if you prefer not to choose individual tours.

What the Australian presale calendar shows about weekdays

When you scan the general sale column, a pattern jumps out: most Australian on-sales fall at the end of the working week. Among the 63 tours in this calendar with a recorded general sale date, 29 went on sale on a Friday and 15 on a Thursday, with Tuesday the next most common day at eight. Presale dates are spread differently, clustering on Wednesday, Monday and Tuesday, which fits the typical sequence of an early-week presale followed by a public sale a day or two later. The median gap between first presale and general sale across the calendar is just two days. Bruno Mars's twelve Australian stadium shows illustrate the pattern well: the artist presale opened on 2 September 2026 and the general sale followed on 4 September, both through Ticketmaster. Knowing this rhythm helps you plan; a tour announced on a Monday is very likely to be fully on sale by the end of that week.

Lead times visible in the Australian presale calendar

The calendar also shows how far ahead of the shows tickets are sold. Across the tours with a recorded on-sale, the median lead time between the general sale and the first show is about 199 days, roughly six and a half months. Some tours sell much earlier: Belinda Carlisle's March 2027 tour went on sale in November 2025, more than a year ahead, and The Human League's January 2027 dates went on sale in February 2026. Others move quickly: Kings of Leon's three shows in late February and early March 2027 have a general sale on 27 October 2026, about four months before the first date. Long lead times are typical for older catalogue artists playing theatres and arenas, where promoters build sales slowly, while shorter ones often relate to tours added to an existing international routing. If a tour you want is still TBA only a few months out, the announcement may come with little notice.

City coverage in the Australian presale calendar

The calendar reflects a familiar geography. Melbourne and Sydney host almost the same number of shows, 86 and 85 respectively, with Brisbane at 66, Perth at 53 and Adelaide at 32. Hobart, Fremantle and Newcastle appear on a few tours, and some smaller tours reach a wider set of towns: Smokie's twelve dates include Bendigo, Canberra and Geelong, Max McNown's tour visits Cairns, and The Rubens are playing a run of regional New South Wales venues such as Coffs Harbour, Kiama and Brunswick Heads. When you look at a row, check whether your city is on it before planning around a presale, because the windows sometimes differ by city. A tour can also add cities after the initial announcement, typically when early demand is strong, and those additional shows may have their own presale. The alert button covers additions as well as changes to existing dates, so you do not need to re-register.

Perth and Adelaide in the Australian presale calendar

Perth deserves a separate mention because of the time difference. During daylight saving in the eastern states, Perth sits three hours behind Sydney and Melbourne, and Adelaide half an hour behind them, so a sale advertised at a local time opens later in those cities. In the calendar, dates are given as announced, but the actual opening time in your city depends on whether the promoter uses local times or a single national time. Perth is also the only Australian stop on some tours, such as the Foo Fighters' January 2027 show listed in this calendar, which attracts fans from across Western Australia and beyond. Adelaide is included on around half of the national tours here, often as the smallest arena date. When following a tour from the east, keep in mind that the Perth and Adelaide windows can give you a second chance on the same day if travel is an option for you.

Platforms named in the Australian presale calendar

Where we know which ticketing companies handle a tour, the calendar records them. In the current data, Ticketmaster appears on 53 tours, Ticketek on 40 and AXS on 24, and many tours list two or all three, reflecting the fact that different venues on the same tour are tied to different companies. Live Nation appears separately on a couple of tours where it ran its own presale. Some tours list only one platform: Bruno Mars, Calvin Harris and Leon Bridges, for example, show Ticketmaster alone, while Hayley Williams shows Ticketek alone. A few rows do not list any platform yet, either because the information was not in the announcement we recorded or because sales have not been set up. Use the platform information as a planning aid, to make sure you have accounts ready, but always confirm the authorised seller for your specific city on the promoter's tour page before the sale.

Presale types in the Australian presale calendar

For tours where the announcement named the presale type, the calendar records it. Artist presales are the most frequently recorded type in this calendar, appearing on 11 tours, followed by promoter presales on five, and album, Live Nation and Mastercard presales on two each. The Strokes' February 2027 tour, for instance, lists Mastercard and promoter presales on 28 September 2026 ahead of a general sale the following day. Powderfinger's reunion dates for September and October 2027 recorded artist and Live Nation windows on 14 and 16 October 2026 before the general sale on 19 October. Many tours in the table show no presale type at all, which usually means the presale was announced only through member channels or that there was none. If a tour shows no presale, it is still worth joining the relevant promoter list, as windows are sometimes added. Our presale types page explains each category and how eligibility usually works.

Recent movement in the Australian presale calendar

The last few weeks give a good sense of how quickly the calendar changes. In late September 2026, a cluster of tours went on sale within days of each other, including Calvin Harris, Leon Bridges, Madness and Ronan Keating on 24 September and Tash Sultana and The Strokes on 29 September. October brought Powderfinger's on-sale on 19 October and then a run of sales on 23 October, including Zach Bryan's December 2027 dates in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, Damien Rice's Melbourne and Sydney shows and Bon Jovi's two dates. At the time of writing, two tours still have sales ahead of them: Kings of Leon, whose general sale is on 27 October 2026, and Craig David, whose presale is listed for 26 October and general sale for 28 October. Those two rows carry an upcoming status in the table and will switch to on sale once their general sale dates pass.

Tours awaiting dates in the Australian presale calendar

A handful of tours in the calendar have confirmed shows but no published sale information. These include Radiohead, with sixteen dates listed in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney between May and June 2027; CAKE, with seven dates in March 2027; Jungle, with four dates in March; Sombr in April; and Jorja Smith in November 2027. For each, the table shows TBA in the sale columns because no presale or general sale date has been published in the data we hold, and we will not estimate one. These are the rows where an alert is most valuable, because when the sale details arrive they often come with a presale only a few days away, sometimes requiring registration in advance. If any of these artists matter to you, tap 🔔 Alert me beside the row now, and make sure you have accounts with Ticketmaster, Ticketek and AXS ready, since we do not yet know which will be used.

The 2027 season ahead in the Australian presale calendar

Looking forward, the calendar is likely to fill in for the second half of 2027 over the coming months. Based on the patterns in the current data, new tours will mostly follow the same structure: an announcement early in the week, one or more presales within a few days, and a general sale on a Thursday or Friday, with lead times of several months before the first show. The summer of 2027 to 2028 is not yet represented beyond a few dates, and the tours that will fill it have generally not been announced, so we do not list them. When they are announced, they will be added with their cities and sale dates as soon as they are published. Any changes to existing rows, such as added shows, rescheduled dates or new presales, are recorded as they happen. Our presale calendar overview shows how the Australian calendar compares with other countries' calendars.

Australian presale calendar FAQ

These questions cover how the calendar is compiled, how often it changes and how to use it alongside official sources. The calendar is a guide to timing, not a ticket seller: it records what promoters and artists have announced, so the official tour page always takes priority if there is a discrepancy, especially regarding exact times, which can be stated locally or nationally. We do not publish presale codes or any other form of access, and none of the rows in the table can be used to buy tickets; they show when and where the official sales take place. If you notice information that looks out of date, it is likely that an announcement has been made since our last update, and the next refresh will include it. For definitions of the terms used in the table and in the answers below, such as allocation, general sale and on-sale, see the presale glossary, which is written in plain English.

How often is the Australian presale calendar updated?

The calendar is refreshed regularly from the tour announcements we track, and new tours, added shows and sale dates are added as they are published. In busy periods, especially on Mondays and Tuesdays when many Australian tours are announced, a row can change within hours of the official announcement. Because presales in Australia are typically only one or two days before the general sale, the gap between an announcement and the first window can be very short, so the table may not always reflect a window that opened the same morning it was announced. That is the main reason the alert function exists: alerts are triggered by changes to the data, so you hear about a new window without having to check the table repeatedly. If a tour is critical to you, combine the alert with membership of the relevant promoter's list, so that you also receive the promoter's own presale information directly.

Why does the Australian presale calendar show no presale for some tours?

There are several possible reasons. Some tours genuinely have no presale and go straight to a general sale, particularly smaller theatre tours. Others have presales that were communicated only through member channels, such as a promoter's newsletter or an artist's mailing list, and not included in the public announcement we recorded. In some cases the presale was published after our entry and will appear at the next update. Of the 68 tours in the calendar, only 17 show a recorded presale date, while 63 show a general sale date, which tells you that many presales are not visible in public announcements. If you want the best chance at a tour showing no presale, sign up to the promoter's member list and the artist's mailing list, which is where unpublicised windows are most often shared. The alert button also notifies you if a presale is added to a row later on.

Are the dates in the Australian presale calendar in local time?

The dates in the table are the dates announced for the Australian sales. Times are not always shown, because promoters use different conventions: some open each city at its own local time, others use a single national time expressed in Australian Eastern time. That matters because, during daylight saving, there is a three-hour difference between the eastern states and Perth and a half-hour difference with Adelaide, while Queensland does not observe daylight saving at all. A presale that opens at 10am local time on a given date therefore opens at different moments across the country. The alert emails specify the relevant time when it has been announced, and the official tour page confirms it. If you are outside Australia, convert from the specific city named, not a general Australian time, and double-check around the start and end of daylight saving in October and April, when the gaps between states shift.

Can I buy tickets through the Australian presale calendar?

No. The calendar is an information service that shows when and where official sales happen; it does not sell tickets, hold allocations or provide presale access. To buy, you go to the authorised ticketing company for the venue, which is usually Ticketek, Ticketmaster or AXS, and take part in whichever presale or general sale you are eligible for. Presale access comes from the official channel that runs each window, such as a promoter's membership, an artist's fan club, a card issuer or a telco programme. What the calendar and alerts provide is timing: the date a window opens, the type of presale and the platforms involved. Using that information, you can prepare your accounts and registrations in advance. If you see any offer claiming to sell presale access or guarantee tickets, check directly with the organiser before acting, and read our presale day checklist for practical preparation before the window opens.
